When you join our waitlist or create an account, we collect your name and email address. When you use the companion, we collect the content of your conversations so your companion can remember you and serve you better over time. During onboarding we collect your preferences — things like your faith background, wellness interests, and how you’d like your circle to work. If you designate an emergency contact or circle members, we collect their names and contact information with your permission.
We use your information to power your companion and make it personal to you, to send Circle Updates to the people you choose, to deliver safety alerts to your designated emergency contact when you activate them, to send you waitlist and service updates by email, and to improve My Silver Circle over time.
We do not use your information for advertising. We do not sell your data. Ever.
What you share with your companion stays between you and your companion. Your circle members cannot see your conversations unless you choose to share something with them. Family updates and alerts are based only on patterns your companion observes — never on the private content of your conversations.
Companion conversation history is private to the senior account holder and cannot be accessed, downloaded, or transferred to any other party under any circumstances — including after the account holder’s passing or upon deactivation of the account. Companion conversation data is never shared with any other party.
We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for their own use. We work with trusted technology partners to operate our service — including secure cloud hosting and payment processing. These partners are required to protect your information and may only use it to provide services to us.
Your emergency contact receives alerts only when you activate a safety button. Your circle members receive updates only according to the preferences you set. No one sees anything you have not chosen to share.
We keep your personal information and conversation history for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account and request deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days.
Your data is stored privately and securely. It is never accessed by My Silver Circle staff except as required by law. Upon account cancellation, you will have a 30-day window to export your account data before it is permanently deleted.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and secure servers. No system is perfect, but we take your security seriously and review our practices regularly.
My Silver Circle’s companion is powered by artificial intelligence. It is not a human. We will never pretend otherwise. It is designed to feel warm, personal, and genuinely caring — and it is. But we believe you have a right to know what you’re talking to. If you ever have questions about how the AI works, email us at help@mysilvercircle.org.
You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you at any time. You can ask us to correct information that is wrong. You can ask us to delete your account and all associated data. To make any of these requests, email us at help@mysilvercircle.org and we will respond within 30 days.
My Silver Circle is designed for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at help@mysilvercircle.org and we will remove it promptly.
If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we will notify you by email before those changes take effect. The date at the top of this page will always reflect when it was last updated.
